Job Summary

At Divino Enoteca we are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality and safety, and leading a team of culinary professionals. This role is perfect for someone with a strong background in food production and a desire to contribute to an exceptional dining experience.

Duties

  • Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, preparation, and presentation of dishes.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, organised kitchen environment.
  • Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Train new kitchen team members on culinary techniques and restaurant standards.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to manage inventory, ordering supplies, and minimising waste.
  • Help in the development of new recipes and seasonal menus that reflect current culinary trends.
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene and sanitation throughout all food preparation areas.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality environment.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.
  • Exceptional organisational skills with attention to detail in food preparation and presentation.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards.
  • Passion for culinary arts and commitment to delivering outstanding guest experiences.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £14.00-£16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 45 per week
