We are seeking an experienced bookkeeper with a willingness to learn new skills to join our friendly team. Good communications skills and the ability to work on site are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Processing weekly sales invoices for the hotel and restaurant and reconciling back to the booking systems.
- Raising monthly invoices to business clients for bookings in the hotel and restaurant, including payment allocations.
- Processing purchase invoices across the business.
- Reconciling customer, bank, and till accounts weekly.
- Monitor and manage the aged debtor list and follow up where necessary.
- Processing journals as part of month end.
- Support the Finance Manager with preparing the monthly management accounts, including year-end accruals.
- Communicate with other departments to ensure financial information is accurate.
Requirements:Essential
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper in a similar role within an accounting environment.
- Strong understanding of accounting processes
- Proficiency in Xero
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Desirable
- Previous experience in hospitality finance but not essential
- AAT qualified or in training
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £13.50-£15.50 per hour
Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
