My client is a well-respected European brand with global exposure who have forged a reputation over 40 years to become the go to partner of choice for Electronic and Mechanical Manufacturing.

As a result of investing heavily into the UK, I have been exclusively retained and instructed to Headhunt a new MD for one of the facilities based near Basildon. Whilst this facility is part of a much wider group, the culture is that of an SME that gives the MD autonomy to do what they do best without corporate restraints.

Person Speci fication

A proven record of success in senior-level management, preferably within electronics manufacturing or similar related industry.

A track record of growth, customer retention and product satisfaction.

Experienced in streamlining processes and promoting best practise.

Substantial experience of senior-level management of people and resources, policy and procedures.

The role of Managing Director.

Day to day hands on, motivational and Inspirational leadership, supporting and encouraging the team to ensure exceptional product quality and quality of service to your customers.

Ensuring every team member knows what they need to do and how to do it efficiently and effectively.

Review and streamline processes to be more cost effective and more efficient.

To direct and control the company’s operations and to implement the group strategy.

Represent the company in negotiations with customers, suppliers, government departments and other key contacts to secure the most effective contract terms.

Maintain an effective business development and marketing strategy to promote the services and image of the company in the wider community.

Develop and maintain an integrated management system throughout the company to ensure that the best possible services are provided to customers.

Prepare quarterly forecasts and monitor progress against plans to ensure that the company attains its objectives as cost-effectively and efficiently as possible.

Develop and direct the implementation of health and safety policies and procedures.

Develop and direct the implementation of equal opportunities policies

Develop and maintain continuous improvement programmes to ensure that the company remains at the forefront of the industry, applies the most cost-effective methods and approaches, provides leading-edge services and retains its competitive edge.

This is primarily an office based role where you can really affect positive change.

Pay: £85,000.00-£105,000.00 per year
