Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Care Manager to oversee the operations of our clients 6 bedded scheme which supports adults with autism, learning disabilities and complex needs. The role is available as the current Registered Manager is being promoted to an area manager and you have in place an extremely strong deputy manager who has worked with the company for years. You will have an extensive handover and induction from the current home manager and also be supported by the operations manager, Quality assurance manager and PBS Lead.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in care home management, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to our residents. This role requires exceptional leadership skills and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of care in assisted living, nursing home, and senior care environments.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the care home, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
  • Develop, implement, and review care plans tailored to individual resident needs.
  • Supervise and support staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Conduct regular assessments of resident care and service quality, making improvements as necessary.
  • Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to ensure coordinated care delivery.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with legal requirements and organisational policies.
  • Lead training initiatives for staff to enhance skills in care provision and leadership.
  • Promote a culture of respect, dignity, and compassion within the facility.

Skills

  • Proven experience in managing a care home or similar setting is essential.
  • Strong understanding of assisted living, nursing home operations, and senior care best practices.
  • Excellent leadership capabilities with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Proficient in developing and implementing effective care plans tailored to individual needs.
  • Exceptional communication skills for liaising with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to supervise staff effectively while promoting professional development.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements governing care services is highly desirable.
