About the job
The Children 's Literacy Charity is a registered charity working alongside pupils who struggle to read and write. Our vision is to close the literacy gap for all disadvantaged children, enabling them to achieve their true potential.
We are looking for a Schools Programme Manager to cover and manage a cohort of Literacy & Reading Labs and tutors based across our partner schools in the Midlands. The role is part-time, 3 days a week, term-time only for 1 year initially.
You will have operational responsibility for the running and quality assurance of the Literacy & Reading Labs, and will work in close partnership with the school staff alongside our Education team to contribute to the continuous improvement of the charity’s school-based educational provision.
You will also build relationships with prospective school partners and multi academy trusts to help grow the charity’s presence beyond the existing school portfolio in this region.
The ideal applicant will have solid experience in teaching or tutoring primary aged children with literacy difficulties, experience in managing or supervising staff (including lesson observation and feedback), delivering training and excellent communication skills developed from working with a range of stakeholders.
We welcome and encourage applications from applicants with lived experience of the barriers and challenges that the charity is supporting children and their families to overcome.
The rate of pay is £17,100 for 3 days per week, based on a FTE of £28,500.
Closing date is Tuesday 22nd April. Interviews will be held w/c 28th April 2025.
