Overview
Leading on Quality processes and informing the continuous development of quality procedures. Interrogating all internal and external data to identify trends to inform quality improvements. Supporting the creation and updating of organisations Policies, Procedures and Strategies taking into account legislation and changes within the FE sector.

Lead IQA for the organisation and ensuring quality in all aspects of its provision (Apprenticeships and Skills Bootcamps). Carrying out additional auditing and supporting all IQA staff with their quality cycle.

Support the Head of Centre for all Awarding Organisations and End Point Assessment Organisations, with a view to taking over Head of Centre. Liaise, plan and facilitate all visits, ensuring feedback to Board and Operational Management on conclusion of visits

Responsible for development and delivery of staff training, including evaluation and reporting of all training and development/ CPD activities using data provided by Management for CPD, including financial outlay to inform business planning.

Responsible for monthly evaluation, reporting and completion of Additional Learning Support documentation to ensure compliance with DfE guidance and regulations. Ensuring the Director of Operations receives monthly evaluation reports that support ILR claims and compliance with DfE funding rules and guidance.

Lead the development and updating our Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) and lead the creation and refinement of our Self-Assessment. Collaborate with the Board and wider team to produce and maintain thorough documentation, enhance data collection, and improve evaluation and presentation processes to drive organisational growth and respond to industry challenges.

Duties

  • Interrogating and dissemination of all internal and external data to identify trends to inform quality improvements, including QAR data.
  • Responsible for the Quality System ensuring all aspects of the Cyclical Quality Assurance Framework is completed in a timely fashion and the Quality Assurance Framework is adhered to.
  • Support the development of all organisational Policies, Procedures and staff guidance documents, prior to Board approval, to promote the development of the organisation, including the Equality Impact Assessments.
  • Head of Centre - liaising with all awarding organisations and end point assessment organisations. Initial point of contact for all queries or concerns raised by delivery teams. Plan and co-ordinations of all visits to relevant evidence is provided in advance or during visits.
  • Lead Internal Quality Assurance including additional auditing activities to ensure consistency across the organisation and the sharing of good practice and the support of IQA’s with team development.
  • Supporting the development of the organisations SAR, contributing to the Leadership and Management Development Plans as required.
  • Maintain employer & learner databases including Cognisoft as appropriate to the needs of individual job tasks.
  • Lead on monitoring, reporting, completion and evaluation of ALS claims. This includes approving referrals and ensuring required evidence and compliance with DfE funding rules is maintained at all times.
  • Lead on development and delivery of staff training, including evaluation and reporting of all training and development/ CPD activities using data provided by Management for CPD, including financial outlay to inform business planning.
  • Lead on the development of resources aligned with the Professional Teaching Standards, ensuring teaching staff have access to CPD opportunities and support for teaching, learning, and assessment (TLA).
  • Monitor and track standardisation meetings within the relevant occupational area Team Managers.

Essential Skills:

  • Assessor/ IQA qualifications
  • Teaching qualification at Level 5 minimum (DET/ DTLLS, Diploma in Teaching)
  • Strong literacy/communication and numeracy skills to A level standard or equivalent along with good ICT skills
  • Must have excellent written and presentation skills and be able to produce high quality learning resources for internal and external use.
  • Must be able to work as part of a team and display appropriate leadership skills
  • Experience managing a high performing quality team

Desirable Skills:

  • QTLS (Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills) or
  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or
  • PGCE in Post-Compulsory Education/FE
  • Level 5 or above Management or relevant Qualification.
  • Educated to degree level desirable although not essential.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £38,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
