We are a small supported living service in the Hangleton area called Brighton Vision. We support 5 individuals with a range of learning disabilities with different levels of independence and support needs.

Our job role here at Brighton Vision is supporting adults with learning disabilities with their daily lives. This includes support with all aspects of daily living such as; support and travel around the local areas, work placements, shopping, cleaning, cooking, keeping in touch with friends and family, attending appointments, and planning activities.

No personal care is required only verbal prompting with hygiene and appropriate dressing.

Being able to communicate well with others is essential as well as good record keeping. Support needs are always changing and adapting so relaying information efficiently is crucial.

We would like someone ideally who has had some experience in a care environment but this is not essential and all training will be provided. We have a wonderful small staff team who are all looking forward to welcoming an extra member for our expanding needs.

Driving licence is not essential but could be useful.

This job does include some evenings, weekends and sleep-in shifts (overnight stays in the Service User’s Hangleton residence - typically one per week. Please note that these are not waking nights and staff are able to sleep throughout the night with the staff bed provided) Our Users here receive 24/7 care so flexibility is desirable.
