A secondary school in the Keighley area is seeking a dedicated Religious Studies Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis from May. This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire students and encourage meaningful discussions about religion, ethics, and philosophy.

The Role:

  • Teach Religious Studies across Key Stages 3 and 4 , delivering thought-provoking and engaging lessons.
  • Encourage students to explore different world religions, moral issues, and philosophical debates.
  • Prepare students for GCSE exams, ensuring they develop strong analytical and evaluative skills.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive classroom where students feel comfortable expressing their views.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop engaging lesson plans and curriculum resources.

What We 're Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with experience teaching Religious Studies at secondary level.
  • A passion for the subject and the ability to engage and challenge students.
  • Strong communication skills and a commitment to fostering an open and respectful learning environment.
  • An ability to adapt teaching methods to suit students of all abilities.
  • A proactive and enthusiastic approach to teaching and student development.
  • Two education or school-based references are essential.
  • A clear enhanced DBS or willingness to apply for one.
  • The legal right to work in the UK.
