BARISTA WAITER(ESS) WANTED

Marr Grange Tea Rooms is looking for a trained Waiter(ess)/Barista.

We are a small, lively young team who love food and love people and who aim to create an experience for our customers each time they visit!

Experience is necessary as you will be required to operate efficiently as part of the team. We’d like someone to be able to ‘hit the ground running’

The ideal candidate will have worked somewhere similar before - you will only get the job if you tick the following boxes;

• Creative - you will need to be able to write creatively on our boards to sell the menu

We will expect you to get on easily with other staff members and our customers alike, able to make conversation and advise on our menu/drinks. We operate a ‘nothing is too much trouble’ attitude with regards to work and jobs.

Your duties will include:

• Operating the Coffee Machine
• Pouring and Serving alcoholic drinks
• Taking orders, serving food and drinks
• Operating the till and dealing with money/card machines
• Liasing with the chef to ensure that all the food you take out is to standard and nothing is missing off the plate.
• On a Saturday we have young Saturday help that need direction and you will be expected to guide them in their work.
• To ensure your area is kept clean and tidy, to complete cleaning rotas and forms
• To ensure that all drink stock is rotated and sell by dates are checked
• To work extra days when needed on special occasions such as Christmas, Fathers/Mothers Day
• To close down at the end of the day

We need you to work the days below all of the time - there is no flexibility.

Thursday 8.30am - 5pm

Friday - 8.30am : 5pm

Saturday - 8.30am : 5pm

(1/2 hr lunch each day)

We open the first Sunday of each month and work on a rota basis.

Occasional Wednesdays / additional Sundays for functions

A DRIVING LICENCE IS ESSENTIAL AS WE ARE NOT LOCATED NEAR PUBLIC TRANSPORT LINKS

Job Types: Part-time, Fixed term contract

Pay: From £12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 24 - 30 per week
