Horse & Groom, Bourton on the hill is a small business in Bourton on the Hill, GL56 9AQ. We are professional, agile, and our goal is to Horse & Groom is a quintessential Cotswold pub located at Bourton on the Hill that boasts a restaurant with a log fire burner, a bar and snug area for walk in guests, as well as five modern letting rooms above the pub. Horse & Groom, sister pub to The Halfway at Kineton, ran by two Cotswolds based hospitality professionals, Nathan Eades & Liam Goff. Both classically trained chefs, learning their craft in some of the UK’s best establishments; most recently at The Wild Rabbit in Kingham and 1 Michelin starred restaurant Simpsons in Edgbaston.

Job Summary:

Join our team as a Chef de Partie and be an integral part of our culinary team. As a Chef de Partie, you will contribute to the success of our kitchen operations by preparing high-quality dishes and ensuring food safety standards are met. This role presents an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about culinary arts and seeking a dynamic work environment in the restaurant industry.

Duties:

  • Assist in meal preparation and cooking according to established recipes and standards

  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food storage areas

  • Adhere to food safety guidelines and regulations at all times

  • Support the Head Chef in creating an exceptional dining experience for our guests

  • Execute tasks efficiently during high-volume periods

Skills:

  • Proficiency in meal preparation techniques and kitchen operations

  • Strong understanding of food safety practices and regulations

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment

  • Experience in culinary arts, restaurant kitchens, or similar settings is advantageous

  • Knowledge of food presentation and garnishing techniques is a plus

  • Team player with excellent communication skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £28,500.00-£32,000.00 per year
