Working Hours:

Monday - Friday, 37 hours per week
Flexibility may be required for audits or overseas visits.

As a Quality Engineer , you’ll play a key role in ensuring that quality requirements are effectively communicated and applied across all business functions. Your expertise will drive improvements in quality engineering processes and help maintain ISO 9001 certification.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Managing non-conformance reports: root cause analysis, remedial action, and customer concessions
• Preparing test documentation and Inspection & Test Plans for customer deliverables
• Conducting internal audits and updating quality system procedures
• Leading corrective and preventative action initiatives across the business
• Supporting contract review processes and quality planning activities
• Engaging with suppliers: reviewing certifications, managing approvals, and conducting supplier audits
• Investigating and resolving customer complaints
• Ensuring compliance of manufacturing processes and health & safety standards
• Deputising for colleagues and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives

Skills & Experience:

We are looking for a Quality Engineer with:

• Hands-on experience in quality control and metrology
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001 systems and auditing processes
• Exposure to CMM, NDT, and various national standards is desirable
• Understanding of metals, foundries, forges, and fabrication methods
• Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma or APQP is an advantage
• Mechanical background with medium to heavy CNC manufacturing exposure
• Strong computer literacy and data handling skills
• Confident hosting customer audits and verification visits
• Flexibility to travel both domestically and internationally
• Full UK driving licence required

Qualifications:

• HNC in Mechanical Engineering (minimum)
• Internal Quality Auditor qualification preferred
• Membership in professional engineering bodies is a plus
