Key Responsibilities:

As a Nursery Area Manager, your role will be crucial in supporting and guiding our nurseries to achieve excellence. You’ll be responsible for fostering positive relationships, ensuring compliance, and driving continuous improvement across the nurseries in your area. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting Nurseries: Help nurseries maintain and exceed high standards of care, education, and safety.
  • Manager Support: Provide ongoing guidance and support to nursery managers, fostering their professional development.
  • Leading by Example: Role model best practices to inspire and motivate staff.
  • Performance Management: Oversee the performance of nursery managers, offering constructive feedback to help them excel.
  • Compliance: Ensure all policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements are followed.
  • Building Relationships: Develop and maintain positive, open relationships with nursery teams and local stakeholders.
  • Target Setting: Agree on clear targets and objectives with nursery managers and review progress regularly.
  • Recruitment: Lead the recruitment process, ensuring the development of strong, cohesive teams.
  • Health & Safety Management: Oversee the health and safety of the nurseries to ensure a safe environment for children and staff.
  • Funding & Legislation: Understand and implement Local Authority funding models and liaise with councils regarding processes and systems.
  • Training & Development: Develop and deliver training to support managers and teams in their professional growth.
  • Equality & Inclusion: Promote and monitor equality and inclusion across all nurseries.
  • Quality Assurance: Lead nurseries through self-evaluation and quality assurance processes, ensuring they meet national priorities.
