Teaching Assistant (Early Years - Reception Class)

Salary: £13.68 - £14.92 per hour

Hours: School hours ( 8:30am - 3:30pm Monday to Friday)

Location: Havant

Early Years specialist required to support both a lively Reception class. Successful candidates will need a sound knowledge of the EYFS curriculum be reliable, articulate and enthusiastic. You will be required to support the teacher in providing a safe, interesting and stimulating environment for all children aged 4 -5 years. You will work within a friendly team to achieve the aims and objectives of each day and to ensure a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for children placed in the pre-school. You may be supporting students who have specific education, needs on a 1:1 basis or helping with whole class activities or working independently with small groups

Candidate Specifications:

• Must have a high level of English Comprehension and communication
• MUST have 6 months experience or working in Early Year Education
• Have a sound knowlegde of the Early Years Curriculum
• Must be calm, understanding, confident and friendly
• Care, youth/children’s club or school experience required
• A desire to help students focus on tasks
• Understand the need to provide a stimulating, caring and consistent environment for young children.
• Professional, nurturing and ‘can do’ approach
• Commitment and dependability within the workplace with ability to use
