Due to the continued growth of the Oil & Gas portfolio and the sharp growth of the World Refining Association brand, we have a very exciting opening for a Conference Producer to help us sustain growth in Latin America in 2025, 2026 and beyond.

The Conference Producer will join a dynamic, collaborative team to help us research, build relationships and craft compelling conferences and events that inspire, connect, and engage the Downstream Oil & Gas sector in Latin America. This is an ideal opportunity for a Conference Producer who is eager to step up, take ownership and initiative of end-to-end content production and help us take our portfolio of products to new heights. This will range from conducting in-depth industry research to designing agenda themes; securing top-tier speakers; and building strategic relationships with the local market influencers, playing a vital role in building experiences that make a lasting impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research: Dive deep into market trends and uncover emerging topics, issues, and key players to craft events that are relevant, timely, and engaging.
  • Content Creation: Design conference agendas that excite and engage, with fresh, innovative approaches to sessions and speaker formats, strong copy writing skills are a must.
  • Speaker Recruitment: Identify, recruit and build relationships with industry thought leaders, engaging speakers, and key stakeholders.
  • Project Management: Oversee all aspects of content production and execution, coordinating seamlessly with marketing, sponsorships, sales, and operations teams.
  • Innovation & Creativity: Continually look for ways to make each event unique and memorable, using creativity to solve problems and elevate the attendee experience.
  • Client Relationship Building: Strategic alliance and partnership management to help us establish key networks in local markets.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills & Behaviours:

  • Solid experience producing and growing multi-track commercial events in a fast-paced organisation.
  • Working proficiency of written and spoken Spanish is essential.
  • Working proficiency of written and spoken Portuguese is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of the Energy and Oil & Gas industries is highly desirable.
  • Launch product experience is highly desirable.
  • Excellent research and analytical skills, with a keen eye for trends and market shifts.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, and a flair for storytelling.
  • A proactive, can-do attitude with a love for working collaboratively and contributing to the team.
  • Highly organised with strong project management skills to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Be open to challenges, making confident decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills and client relationship management.
