at Oakmont Services GroupAbout the job
Job Summary
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Teacher to join our independent school for pupils with Behavioural, Emotional, and Social Difficulties (BESD). As a teacher in our school, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and nurturing learning environment while addressing the needs of our pupils. Safeguarding and promoting their well-being will be a priority in your daily responsibilities. We are looking for a professional with a confidence and strong working knowledge of their specialist subject, who is prepared to help develop the curriculum and support colleagues.
Oakmont School is dedicated to providing outstanding creative and therapeutic education to young people aged 9-19 years. All of our pupils have found maintaining a place at mainstream school difficult and have a range of additional learning needs, including social and emotional needs, ASC and ADHD.
Safeguarding and promoting the welfare and well-being of every pupil will be a core responsibility. Strong communication skills are essential, as is the ability to build positive working relationships with colleagues, families and external agencies. At Oakmont School we have a strong ethos of teamwork, collaboration and mutual support. Staff wellbeing and professional development are priorities.
