Who are Yapily

Yapily is on a mission to enable innovative companies to create better and fairer financial services for everyone, through the power of open banking.

Yapily is an open banking infrastructure platform solving a fundamental problem in financial services today: access. Historically, card networks have monopolised the global movement of money, and banks have monopolised the ownership of, and access to, financial data.

Yapily was founded to challenge these structures and create a global open economy that works for everyone. We exist behind the scenes, securely connecting companies - from growth to enterprise - to thousands of banks worldwide, enabling them to access data and initiate payments through the power of open banking.

What we’re looking for

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Manager - Product Delivery and Performance to join Yapily, reporting to the VP of Product Strategy & Innovation. This pivotal role is part of our Product Strategy & Innovation team, which focuses on two critical questions: Are we doing the right thing, and are we doing it the right way?

As Senior Manager - Product Delivery and Performance, you will enforce the highest standards across the product development lifecycle, ensuring rigorous adherence to best practices and strategic objectives. Acting as a central authority, you’ll instil discipline and accountability within the product team, driving continuous improvement and operational efficiency. Your role demands strong diligence to oversee robust processes, meticulous quality control, and stringent performance metrics. By working closely with cross-functional teams, you will synchronise efforts and optimise workflows, ensuring all product initiatives align with the company’s strategic goals and deliver exceptional value to our customers. You will play a crucial part in connecting strategy with execution, ensuring that we complete the most valuable work efficiently and in line with our company objectives.

Requirements

  • Coordinate our product planning cycles, to increase cross-team alignment and visibility
  • Facilitate cross-team discussions around dependency mapping, monitoring and risk mitigation
  • Define and track metrics on roadmap delivery and operational efficiency in order to continuously improve our planning and product lifecycle management processes
  • Work with the Technology organisation to pull together a clear understanding of product success metrics, and how these are tracked and used in product decision making
  • Help define, enhance and execute quality assurance processes such as Definition of Done
  • Support creating the annual product strategy, including conducting research on priority topics, scenario modelling and presentation of recommendations
  • Support creating and maintaining the high-level product roadmap, ensuring continuous alignment with business goals and supporting the resolution any resourcing or capacity challenges
  • Be a sounding board to the VP Product Strategy & Innovation and assist in preparation for important meetings, presentations and difficult decisions

This list is not exhaustive, and there may be other tasks that we ask you to be involved in from time to time. Above all, you are flexible and want to add value wherever you can. You understand that in a start-up, priorities change and we all need to be adaptable. Not only will you be comfortable when asked to input and lead in other areas, but you’ll be comfortable being a self-starter and instigating changes yourself.

For your new role

  • 5+ years of Product Management, Product Operations, Business Operations, or Business Analyst experience
  • Good knowledge of the Atlassian suite especially the basic workflow management tools such as Jira, Confluence and Bitbucket would be ideal (admin level knowledge in these is highly coveted)

  • Passion for operational excellence; highly organised with exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to turn partial, conflicting, diverse, or ambiguous inputs into solid action plans
  • Demonstrated experience building strong relationships with stakeholders and cross-functional partners. You have exceptional communication skills
  • You have a proactive ‘can do’ attitude and are disciplined and self-governed in the way you work
