Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and safety, with a flair for creativity in the kitchen. As a Sous Chef, you will play a pivotal role in in designing our menu and, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation, while fostering a positive and efficient work environment. We are looking for someone to advance to a head chef role in the near future and as such this role will be with view of quick advencemnet possibilites due to our head chef trying to take a step back/ retire in the near future
Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Chef in planning and preparing menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and culinary trends.
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient food production.
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with health regulations.
- Oversee food preparation processes, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest quality.
- Collaborate with team members to create an enjoyable dining experience for guests through exceptional hospitality.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
- Help manage kitchen operations during busy service periods, ensuring timely delivery of meals.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a culinary role, preferably as a Sous Chef or similar position within a restaurant or hospitality environment.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety standards.
- Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead kitchen staff effectively.
- Passion for culinary arts with a creative approach to menu development.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to providing exceptional service.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
- Willing to step up to a head chef role in the near future

Pay: £35,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
