: Technical & Training Manager

The Company:

Jaga UK, based in Ledbury, Herefordshire, is a leading manufacturer of dynamic heating and cooling convectors that optimise renewable energy. With its HQ and manufacturing facility in Diepenbeek, Belgium, the company is a market leader in the supply of low surface temperature radiators, predominately in the health and education sectors. Through innovation, creativity and investment, the company has launched a new heat pump radiator, that heats and cools. With the fast approaching energy transition from fossil fuels to renewable technologies, Jaga predicts that this unique product, Briza Net Zero, will revolutionise the way in which we heat and cool our homes, and will deliver significant growth in the residential market

Department: Operations

Location: Ledbury based, within one hour commute. Ability to travel across the UK, with some European travel

Working hours : Full time (permanent)

Reports to: Operations Manager

Responsible for: Technical Sales Manager

Reporting lines:

  • Working relationships with internal & external stakeholders

Job summary:

  • Full accountability of company technical and training strategy and delivery
  • Work collaboratively with all departments to develop company strategy in terms of vision, mission and rocks to drive business growth and profitability

Person Specification:

  • Formal qualifications in the HVAC sector are essential, with hands-on experience in hydronics systems design, installation, commissioning and technical support
  • Demonstrative ability to prepare and present training content at a high level
  • Good knowledge of renewable energy products is desirable, preferably in heat pump technology
  • Knowledge of control strategies, built-in and remote control, building management systems, and associated wiring

Main responsibilities and deliverables:

  • Product compliance, testing and approval status
  • Ongoing contribution to HPA & MARC and other trade organisations and reporting observations to the management team
  • Develop accredited training courses at Kriekels House
  • Develop JagaPRO training content
  • Provide technical training to colleagues and other stakeholders
  • Provide technical capability for any such project requiring such capability. This includes, but not limited to:
  • Website maintenance and development
  • Marketing materials, both soft and hard format
  • HR and H&S ownership for the people you are responsible for
  • New product development, improvement, and modifications
  • Installation and technical documentation
  • Ownership and maintenance of BIM files
  • All CAD drawings
  • Technical submittals
  • Product installation and management
  • Post-order site surveys
  • Post-sales service, including commissioning, warranty, spares, complaints, site visits and reporting
  • Support the sales team in a technical capacity to include, but not limited to:
  • Customer meetings
  • Pre-order site surveys
  • Delivery of CPD presentations
  • Product presentations
  • Product and system design
  • Installation and operation advice
  • Develop relationships with internal and external colleagues to ensure that enquiries, quotations, specifications, negotiations and orders are handled effectively and efficiently
  • Contribute to sales meetings and any other departmental meeting as required
  • Report on all activities, prospects and sales opportunities through company CRM and other systems
  • Identify and develop possible technical advances in existing products
  • Keep the business updated on legislative changes that could affect it. These include, but not limited to:
  • Building Regulations
  • Government initiatives
  • Any other reasonable task delegated from the Operations Manager

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £55,000.00 per year
