The Role 🌞 We are looking for a Senior Website & UI Designer to join Ffern. They will sit within our growing design team, reporting to the Design Director.

Key Responsibilities πŸ’Ό

  • Website : maintain and develop design on the Ffern website, including one-off pages, set formats and our portal for logged-in ledger members – deftly balancing brand, commercial priorities, UX and accessibility.
  • User journeys : working closely with a digital product manager, devise and develop designs for customer journeys using sitemaps, process flows and prototypes – guiding your work with strategic thought.
  • Components, design systems: leverage repeatable components and clear design systems to make your work efficient, straightforward to implement and easy to iterate.
  • Cross-functional collaboration : work closely with our growth and tech teams to implement your designs and assess their impact.
  • Digital touchpoints : in pursuit of a consistent user experience, contribute to design for additional digital touchpoints including email, forms and social media.
  • Brand building, special projects : as a member of the design team, contribute to overarching brand development and one-off creative projects.

Requirements

Must Haves πŸ‘‘

  • Experience : 3+ years of relevant experience, with projects and case studies you can share to help us understand your work.
  • Software : proficiency in Adobe CS & Figma, ideally including animation for UI; experience collaborating with developers and some knowledge of HTML/CSS.
  • UI design : the ability to balance strategic priorities and functional requirements with compelling, brand-aligned and concept-driven design.
  • Brand acumen : an understanding of and affinity for the world of Ffern; the ability to draw on relevant references to expand and elevate.
  • Brand building : the ability to uphold and refine brand principles within UI and beyond.
  • Communication, organisation : the ability to work closely with a variety of teams on concurrent projects, prioritising effectively and being an advocate for the role of design in cross-functional processes.
