Role Overview

We are seeking a proactive and highly organised HR Administrator / Internal Recruiter to join our team. This role is responsible for managing end-to-end recruitment while supporting key HR administration functions, ensuring compliance and efficiency in our people processes.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment & Onboarding:

  • Manage and maintain job postings across various job boards, ensuring visibility and engagement.
  • Oversee the full candidate life cycle, from initial enquiry to start date.
  • Conduct screening calls, schedule interviews, and follow up with candidates.
  • Ensure compliance with Safer Recruitment processes, including reference checks, DBS checks, and right-to-work documentation.
  • Issue offer letters and employment contracts.
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate employee records and personnel files.

HR Administration:

  • Process HR paperwork such as change of terms forms, probation confirmations, and contract variations.
  • Monitor and track staff sickness and unpaid leave, providing regular reports and flagging any necessary actions.
  • Take meeting minutes and provide administrative support during HR discussions.
  • Support with employer branding and recruitment marketing, including social media content.
  • Coordinate staff training, apprenticeships, and Bootcamp programmes.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience in HR administration and/or recruitment, ideally within the nursery, education, or healthcare sector.
  • Strong understanding of Safer Recruitment procedures and compliance.
  • Excellent communication skills and a professional, friendly approach to candidate and employee interactions.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
