About Ecotricity

We’re on a mission to change the world - so we’re looking for awesome people who want to make a difference every day. No clock-watchers, just earth-shakers.

Climate change is the biggest challenge we face - and the only way to stop it is by changing the way we all live our lives. That means changing how we power our homes and our vehicles, changing what we eat and how we make it, and ensuring all the decisions we make are sustainable and have an ethical, green outcome.

That’s where we come in.

We’re not just an energy company, we make a difference at the very centre of things in our mission for a Green Britain. We focus on energy, transport, and food because, between them, they account for 80% of all our carbon emissions. By changing those three things, we can make a huge difference.

About the Role

We are looking for a B2B Marketing Manager to join our rapidly expanding team.

The B2B Marketing Manager is a central role across the team, responsible for providing all-round marketing expertise to support further accelerated growth within B2B. A successful candidate in this role will be creative, think digital-first and have an appetite for finding tools, techniques and AI solutions that continue to improve marketing effectiveness and expand our vision for a Greener Britain.

This role will lead campaigns for brand, product and services, that we are bringing to market. As well as leading on campaign activation, they will work with the Senior Marketing Manager, to align activities to the marketing strategy. They will also be responsible for monitoring and analysing marketing performance (campaigns & always-on), providing actionable insights and recommendations to optimise future activity.

This role is varied, challenging and rewarding. We’re looking for someone with good communication, exceptional organisational skills and wants to grow with our team.

  • Oversee customer engagement: Dynamic, customer-centric approach, to improve customer engagement & lifetime value
  • Team Project Management: Oversee the team project planner, keep updated and lead on weekly status meetings.
  • Stakeholder management & briefing (internal & external): Clear communication and collaboration with internal teams, agencies, vendors.
  • Ecotricity B2B Brand Asset Guardian: Owner of our asset pack and brand guidelines - keeping them maintained and any changes communicated.
  • Tools / Systems management: Evaluating systems and Martech opportunities, alongside the Marketing Coordinator.
  • Team Management: Manage one or more direct reports.
  • Ensure activities & tools comply with all policies, legal regulations and data protection requirements. Work with our compliance team to make sure all outbound activity meets the standards that are required
  • Ensure all budgets, assets and activations have the correct levels of approvals.
  • Work closely with the wider Ecotricity and Green Britain marketing teams to align initiatives with broader marketing initiatives and messaging.

Flexibility statement

The fast moving nature of the company’s business means that from time to time you may be asked to perform duties or tasks outside of your original job description on an ad hoc basis. This allows the company to use its people in the best possible way at all times and helps the employees to make their contribution in a changing environment.

Ecotricity is Britain’s greenest energy company. When we started back in 1995, we were the first company in the world to provide a new kind of electricity - the green kind.

Our mission was, and remains, to change the way energy is made and used in Britain - by replacing fossil fuels with clean, renewable energy.

We don’t just supply green energy, we use the money from our customers’ bills to make it ourselves too - we build windmills, sun parks and green gas mills in Britain. We call this turning ‘bills into mills’. Some of our biggest achievements to date include building Britain’s first megawatt windmill and the country’s first grid-scale sun park, as well as building our first green gas mill, generating 100% green gas from a source that we will never run out of - grass.

We don’t just focus on energy though- we built the Electric Highway, Britain’s leading network of electric vehicle charging points; we helped Forest Green Rovers become the greenest football club in the world; and we launched Britain’s greenest mobile phone service, Ecotalk, where they use the money from their customers’ bills to protect and regenerate Britain’s lost rainforests.
