OutThere are exploring the market for a Finance Manager focused on managing direct reports and ensuring internal control framework is maintained.
In this position, you will take the lead in overseeing a talented team of credit controllers and accounts clerks, ensuring that our daily financial operations are executed with precision and timeliness. Your knack for fostering strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders will play a crucial role in helping us reach our business goals. We are looking for a proactive, results-driven individual who flourishes in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Oversee financial operations including AP, AR, bank management, and stock control with support from direct reports.
- Manage month-end close for subsidiaries, ensuring accurate journals, adjustments, and reports.
- Implement systems for regular financial performance reviews and provide key financial information to departments for forecasting and budgeting.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including timely VAT Returns, Corporation Tax, and collaboration with external financial advisors for Federal/State filings.
- Continuously review processes and work with departments to improve efficiencies in Netsuite for business as usual and reporting.
- Maintain robust internal controls, addressing any issues with Heads of Departments and Management, and recommend improvements.
- Collaborate with the Credit Controller to reduce bad debt and maximise cash inflow, ensuring consistent application of credit insurance policy across subsidiaries.
- Support direct reports through objective setting, performance management, and training to foster growth and team support.
- Establish and apply financial best practices across all subsidiaries to eliminate inefficiencies.
Requirements
- Degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.
- Professional certification in CMA, ACA, ACCA, or CPA.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Strong understanding of financial principles.
- Proficient in using financial tools e.g. Excel, ERP systems.
- Experience as a finance manager / credit controller
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
- Industry knowledge relevant to our services is a plus.
