Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English teacher and maths teacher to join our education centres.

To deliver high quality English tuition or maths tuition, to small groups in designated sessions. Providing one-to-one teaching, reviewing each lesson plan to meet the needs of individuals. Duties

  • Tutor students in groups of up to 4 in 60-minute sessions.

  • Plan and prepare lessons following the Kip McGrath system and resources.

  • Responsible for safeguarding and welfare of students while in-centre or during online lessons.

  • Review lesson content to ensure curriculum is suitable and appropriate.

  • Assess students’ work and give individual teaching and feedback during lessons.

  • Review homework, give feedback and set suitable follow up work for areas of weakness.

  • Set and implement suitable targets to support individual students’ progress.

  • Keep professional and accurate lesson notes.

  • Set and deliver re-assessments regularly following set process.

  • Deliver short, specific parent feedback each lesson.

  • Attend whole team meetings or training events on two occasions per year.

Requirements

  • A relevant degree in English or maths, or a related field is essential.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of the English or maths curriculum and effective teaching methodologies.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage students of varying ages and abilities.
  • Experience in teaching English or maths at secondary level is mandatory.
  • A passion for education and a commitment to fostering a love for learning among students.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also demonstrating independence in lesson planning and execution.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £22,800.00-£25,200.00 per year

Expected hours: 20 per week
