Job description

OutThere are supporting our client to recruit a Full Time or Part Time Finance Coordinator based in Portsmouth, to join their small and personable team of 10.

You will be a pillar of financial excellence, ensuring the company stays on a solid financial footing. This will be achieved through analysing market trends, mitigating financial risks, and safeguarding the company assets and long term stability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and processing of invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Maintain financial records and files, ensuring they are up-to-date and organised.
  • Perform reconciliations of bank statements to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including tracking payments and managing outstanding invoices.
  • Provide support for internal and external audits by preparing relevant documentation and reports.
  • Assist with the preparation of financial reports, including monthly and quarterly performance reports.
  • Liaise with various departments to resolve financial discrepancies and provide financial insights.
  • Utilise financial software to enter data accurately and efficiently, ensuring timely reporting.
  • Stay updated with changes in financial regulations and best practices to maintain compliance.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Finance Coordinator, Bookkeeper, or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles and practices.
  • Must have experience using SAGE Accounting.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills with great attention to detail.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • AAT qualified.
