OutThere are supporting our client to recruit a Full Time or Part Time Finance Coordinator based in Portsmouth, to join their small and personable team of 10.
You will be a pillar of financial excellence, ensuring the company stays on a solid financial footing. This will be achieved through analysing market trends, mitigating financial risks, and safeguarding the company assets and long term stability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and processing of invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Maintain financial records and files, ensuring they are up-to-date and organised.
- Perform reconciliations of bank statements to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including tracking payments and managing outstanding invoices.
- Provide support for internal and external audits by preparing relevant documentation and reports.
- Assist with the preparation of financial reports, including monthly and quarterly performance reports.
- Liaise with various departments to resolve financial discrepancies and provide financial insights.
- Utilise financial software to enter data accurately and efficiently, ensuring timely reporting.
- Stay updated with changes in financial regulations and best practices to maintain compliance.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Finance Coordinator, Bookkeeper, or similar role.
- Strong understanding of financial principles and practices.
- Must have experience using SAGE Accounting.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel.
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills with great attention to detail.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- AAT qualified.
