Wrights of Twycross is a UK based, market leading Transport, Environmental and Waste Management Solution provider working alongside some of the UK’s leading energy and water utility suppliers. Due to our continued growth, Wrights of Twycross have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic full-time HGV Technician/Fitter to join our busy and expanding Workshop team at our base in Twycross, Warwickshire.

The ideal candidate will be working on our varied fleet of HGV’s which include Tippers, Tankers, Jet-Vacs, Low Loaders and Walking floors therefore, a good all round knowledge and proven experience is expected. Applicants must also have the ability to work both on their own initiative and as part of a team to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the Workshop.

As a HGV Fitter/Technician you will be expected to carry out or assist with

  • General maintenance and servicing on HGV vehicles and trailers
  • Repairs to both HGV vehicles and trailers
  • MOT preparation & yard duties to encompass vehicle brake testing.

You will also be required to:

  • Manage your time effectively to ensure work is completed within set time frames
  • Have the ability to use a range of tools
  • Work flexibly in order to meet the needs of the business as Saturday working on a rota basis will be expected, plus occasional extended shifts may be required.

Applicants will be expected to hold a Full UK Driving Licence and have their own means of transport to travel to and from work due to our rural location.
