Website Developer
We are seeking a skilled and adaptable Website Developer to enhance and maintain web-based platforms, ensuring they are effective, secure, and user-friendly. This role requires both technical expertise and strong organisational skills to manage multiple projects efficiently, prioritise tasks, and adapt to evolving needs.
You’ll work independently on key tasks, take the lead in managing development activities, and support colleagues while also contributing to broader research and technology initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and prioritise multiple web development projects efficiently.
- Develop and maintain web applications and platforms to support research and data management.
- Translate scientific and technical requirements into functional web solutions.
- Ensure web services are robust, secure, and scalable.
- Collaborate with researchers and stakeholders to design user-friendly digital tools.
- Identify and solve technical challenges with innovative solutions.
- Contribute to reports, publications, and funding proposals.
- Support and mentor colleagues in web development best practices.
- Stay up to date with the latest technologies and trends in web development.
What We 're Looking For:
- A degree in web development, software engineering, or a related field OR substantial relevant experience.
- A problem-solving mindset with a track record of technical innovation.
- Strong organisational skills to prioritise multiple tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in relevant technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Drupal CMS, and database management.
- Experience in building, maintaining, or improving web applications.
- Ability to translate complex technical needs into practical web solutions.
- Experience communicating technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Awareness of Health, Safety, and Environmental considerations in web-based data management.
