About Us
Utili-Light Limited is seeking an experienced Compliance & Training Manager to oversee certification, auditing, and quality control across all areas of our business. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in ensuring compliance with industry standards while supporting the development and training of our workforce.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with external regulatory bodies (HERS, NICEIC, Constructionline, Achilles, NQA, etc.) as required.
  • Ensure full compliance with the Highway Electrical Registration Scheme (HERS) and other relevant standards, communicating requirements to business teams.
  • Implement and monitor processes, procedures, and work instructions to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Provide technical support for ISO 9001 & 14001 and conduct internal audits.
  • Develop and deliver toolbox talks on HERS, civils, and electrical works.
  • Chair the monthly SHE (Safety, Health, and Environment) meeting to uphold high Health & Safety standards.
  • Act as Training Centre Manager for the Highway Electrical Skills Academy (HESA), overseeing administration, trainers, and documentation.
  • Assist in delivering both internal and external HESA training courses.
  • Arrange external training sessions, including plant training and first aid.
  • Monitor the HERS portal to ensure all staff have the necessary competencies.
  • Sign off as Authorising Officer or Qualifying Supervisor on HERS portfolios.
  • Manage the Night Scout team, ensuring works are delivered to client specifications with appropriate scheduling.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Strong relationship management and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience in Electrical Contracting, Highway Electrical works or Utilities Background
  • Ideally, an Internal Auditor Qualification for ISO 9001 or 14001.
  • A full UK driving licence.
  • A solid understanding of Safe Systems of Work, Electrical Compliance, and Health & Safety regulations.

Pay: £38,305.00-£43,000.00 per year
