What you tell your friends you do
"As a UX intern, I’ll be helping to design the next generation of enterprise software that solves unique challenges in the energy industry. I’ll get to work on products that have a global impact and will be used by thousands of people!"

What you really will be doing

Assist in user research, including user interviews, surveys, and usability testing.

Use business requirements, user and market research to assist in developing scenarios, use cases, and high-level requirements.

Develop conceptual diagrams, wireframes, visual mock-ups, click-throughs, and prototypes.

Collaborate with experienced designers and learn about designing for enterprise software, data-driven interfaces and unique solutions on a range of devices

Work with a multidisciplinary team, including data engineers, software engineers, project managers and subject matter experts to bring software and data solutions to life

Contribute to a great team culture and help improve processes, even for future interns!

How you will be doing this

  • You’ll be part of the internal design team where you’ll collaborate with other designers and bring your own creative input into new and existing features.
  • Your tasks will be prioritized in line with the product’s goals, allowing you to contribute meaningfully.
  • We don’t do things just because they’ve always been done that way, but we don’t ignore the lessons learned either - meaning you’ll play an active role in driving improvements and shaping innovation.
  • You’ll have the chance to explore new tools and technologies, working on projects that are full of learning opportunities.

Where you will be doing this

Aberdeen, Scotland

What you 'll be working on

Over the 12-week internship, you’ll get hands-on experience working with our internal design team, helping us define, design & deliver on user experiences, interface patterns, new behaviours and more. You’ll be involved in the whole spectrum of the design process, gaining a well-rounded experience.

The Team
At Aize, you’ll be immersed in a team-driven environment, working with cutting-edge technologies. You’ll also work across multiple teams, experiencing the collaborative spirit of our company. We see ourselves as one big team, working together toward a shared goal.

Skills & Requirements:

  • No experience required - we understand you may still be learning! What matters most is a passion for design & technology, a desire to learn, and a curious mindset.
  • You should have a basic understanding of the UX process, from the research process to delivering and collaborating on design work in Figma.
  • Good communication skills, especially in English, are valued as they help ensure smooth collaboration within and across teams.
  • Preferably in your third year pursuing a bachelor’s degree.

This is a great opportunity to dive into the world of user experience with a hands-on, supportive team! You 'll gain practical, real-world skills that will set you up for success in your UX career.
