Job description
Location : Prague, Czechia
Hybrid: 3 days at office / 2 day at home office
(Ideally, someone who can be at the office every day, especially in the beginning.)
We are looking for a Junior Data Engineer , who would help our Head of Data to turn data into meaningful insights and make sure our teams have everything they need to make smart, data-driven and impactful decisions.
As a Junior Data Engineer , you will build and maintain automated data pipelines that serve to measure key metrics and make tactical decisions within Daytrip. You will not only create data outputs but solve problems that could range from improving marketing efficiency, forecasting the economics of our business, or quantifying benefits or new product features in agile and cross-functional teams.
Your work will not end with data engineering but you will combine various data sources to create a valuable output for further analysis. You will work closely with our Product Development, Finance, Operations and Business Development teams.
What you will work on?
- Develop data pipelines to drive product, marketing or business decisions.
- Leverage internal and external data to come up with new insights and innovative ideas.
- Work with various tech stacks (Mongo, Google, AWS) and programming languages (SQL, Python, JavaScript - it’s okay if you don’t excel in them, we will train you).
To excel in the role, you need
- Knowledge of SQL or noSQL databases, ability to write simple queries.
- Experience with visualizing and analyzing complex datasets.
- Fluency in English to collaborate effectively with a diverse, multinational team.
- To be naturally curious and eager to learn new things.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with Google Big Query and Google Cloud and Google Marketing Platform products (Ads, Analytics, Tag Manager, Optimize, Looker Studio).
- Basic knowledge of any programming language (preferably Python or JavaScript).
