Chef De Partie

£ 12 - £13.50 per hour plus gratuities

Storrs Hall are an independently owned, spectacular Grade II listed Hotel that have Inspectors Choice four Red Stars, 2 Rosettes, and are also Wine List awarded. Based in an enviable setting in its own grounds on the shores of Lake Windermere, we have a beautiful Fine Dining restaurant and a modern British Bistro, so we are looking for a talented, capable ambitious Chef De Partie that wants to work in a forward thinking exciting environment, and that has a passion for learning about high quality food and presentation. Main Responsibilities

  • Setting up the kitchen prior to a restaurant’s opening
  • Preparing a particular kitchen station
  • Cooking a specific portion of each plated meal
  • Assisting with marinating, cutting, prepping and precooking foods
  • Cleaning the kitchen before the restaurant closes
  • Cleaning and sanitising their area with warm water and soap
  • Wrapping unused items and storing them in proper areas at the end of a shift
  • Plating food creatively and maximising customer enjoyment

We are looking for an individual who:

  • Loves to cook quality food to a high standard.
  • Has experience working in an excellent Kitchen, Rosette experience is an advantage, and has experience preparing quality food to order, in a timely manner.
  • Has attention to detail.
  • Has an organised approach to their work.
  • Is able to anticipate guest needs wherever possible and react accordingly.
  • Is able to manage stock levels and control wastage.
  • Has excellent Food Hygiene and Allergen knowledge.
  • Is a good team player, able to work with other departments to ensure a smooth and efficient dining experience for our guests.
  • Is able to work with the Head Chef to input into new menu ideas, keeping up to date with current trends and look to identify exciting developments in the food offered by the Hotel.
