QAagency is delighted to be working with a leading manufacturing company based in Trafford Park, Manchester. As part of their commitment to delivering high-quality products and maintaining compliance with industry standards, they are looking to recruit a Quality Manager to oversee and drive improvements in their Quality Management System (QMS).

As the Quality Manager, you will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and improving the QMS, ensuring compliance with industry standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001. A key part of the role will involve leading internal and external audits, working closely with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to uphold quality standards. The role will also focus on fostering a ‘Right First-Time’ culture, implementing quality improvement initiatives, and ensuring that all staff understand their role in maintaining high-quality output.

  • Oversee external audits and act as the main point of contact for auditors.
  • Carry out supplier audits across the company’s sub-contractor network.
  • Investigate and resolve quality issues using structured problem-solving tools.
  • Monitor and improve manufacturing performance using KPIs and quality methodologies.

Key Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in an industrial environment, with 3 years in Quality Management.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 (or similar standards).
  • Proven track record as a Lead Auditor, managing both internal and external audits.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Experience in manufacturing industries with strict quality requirements, such as chemical, aerospace, or automotive, would be highly beneficial. Additional expertise in Kaizen, Lean, or Six Sigma problem-solving techniques and strong people management skills would also be an advantage. This role offers the opportunity to take a key position in shaping quality standards and driving continuous improvement within the organisation.
