Join Our Team - Community Services & Communications Officer
Salary: £12.85 per hour (12-week temp-to-perm)
Location: Maghull, Merseyside
Hours: Full-time, flexible with some evening meetings required
About the Role
Contract: 12-week temp-to-perm opportunity
We are looking for a Community Services & Communications Officer to enhance community engagement, oversee public communications, and manage key administrative tasks to support our Advice Centre.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and create content for the Council’s social media, website, and public communications
- Provide high-quality administrative support to the Community Services team
- Work closely with volunteers and service providers at the Advice Centre
- Assist in coordinating the Council’s Community Interest Company (CIC)
- Organise and support Council meetings, including agendas, minutes, and action tracking
- Maintain statutory records and registers in compliance with regulations
- Manage the Town Mayor’s diary and official engagements
- Handle event bookings and venue coordination for The Venue function suite
- Oversee financial administration, invoicing, and banking processes
What We 're Looking For
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in office administration, data management, and customer service
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workloads efficiently
- Knowledge of local government operations (desirable)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, email systems, and database management
- Confident in engaging with residents, Councillors, and community partners
