Job description
CNC Recruitment is seeking multiple CNC roles for our client in Dorset area - a leading provider of high-quality precision engineering solutions.
Job type – Temp to perm, permanent for the right candidate after 12 weeks
Location – Sturminster Newton
Working hours – Monday to Thursday 8am – 5pm, and Friday 8am – 1pm
Salary – up to £20 per hour, depending on experience.
Responsibilities
- Develop, modify, and optimise CNC programmes for milling, welding, and other machining processes.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to understand project specifications and requirements.
- Utilise CAD software such as SolidWorks to design tooling and fixtures as needed.
- Conduct tests on completed programmes to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
- Maintain an organised workspace, ensuring all materials are handled safely and efficiently.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations while working in the warehouse environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a CNC Programmer or similar role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read technical drawings and schematics.
- Familiarity with logic controllers and their application in CNC programming.
- Proficiency in CAD software, particularly SolidWorks, is highly desirable.
- Basic maths skills for measurements, calculations, and adjustments during programming.
- Experience in materials handling within a warehouse setting is an advantage.
- Previous experience using FANUC and Mazatrol machine is essential.
