Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Estimator to join our dynamic team. The Estimator will play a crucial role in evaluating project costs and providing accurate estimates to ensure effective budget management. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of cost control processes and the ability to analyse various factors that influence project expenses. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills and a keen eye for detail, enabling them to contribute significantly to our projects’ success.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for projects by analysing drawings, specifications, and other relevant documents.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for accurate estimations.
  • Conduct site visits to assess conditions and gather data that may impact project costs.
  • Monitor and control costs throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and pricing to provide informed estimates.
  • Prepare reports and presentations summarising estimated costs for review by management.
  • Assist in the development of project budgets and financial forecasts.

Experience
Renewable or Solar experience is Desirable

  • Proven experience as an Estimator or in a similar role within the construction or engineering industry is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of cost control principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in using estimation software and tools is advantageous.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
  • A relevant degree or qualification in construction management, engineering, or a related field is desirable but not essential.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £45,000.00-£60,000.00 per year
