Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organised Host/Host to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring they feel welcomed and valued from the moment they arrive. Your ability to manage time effectively and provide excellent hospitality will play a crucial part in creating a positive dining experience.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables.
- Manage reservations and ensure efficient seating arrangements.
- Maintain an organised waiting list during busy periods, keeping guests informed of wait times.
- Provide menus and offer assistance with any queries regarding food and drink options.
- Collaborate with the serving staff to ensure smooth communication between the front of house and kitchen.
- Uphold food safety standards by ensuring cleanliness in all areas of the dining space.
- Assist with basic maths tasks related to managing guest counts and reservations.
- Support bartending staff during peak times by helping with drink orders as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred but not essential.
- Strong time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently.
- Basic maths skills for managing reservations and guest counts accurately.
- A keen understanding of food safety practices to maintain a clean and safe environment for guests.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with a genuine desire to help others and provide outstanding service.
- A positive attitude and ability to work well within a team setting.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From £12.50 per hour
