Role Summary
The IT Compliance Specialist works in the IT department to ensure that the activities of the company are in compliance with local/national laws, ethical standards and regulatory policies. As part of the compliance job role, the professional is involved with developing policies and implementing them in a timely manner. This role requires a person that is well-versed in legal, regulatory, and corporate governance and has high ethical standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and frameworks such as MHRA, EMA, FDA, GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001, and Sarbanes-Oxley.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of IT activites, including policies, procedures, audit reports, and remediation efforts.
- Identify compliance issues that require follow-up or investigation.
- Assisting in the development of corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues.
- Conduct internal and external IT audits, document findings, and facilitate remediation efforts.
- Stay updated on IT trends and regulations to ensure that the organization is always compliant.

Qualifications
- E: Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, compliance, or equivalent years of relevant professional IT work experience.
