Job description
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Post OAice & Retail Manager to lead our Post OAice branch and, in future, manage multiple branches. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, excels at managing a team, and is committed to delivering exceptional customer service while ensuring compliance and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspire, motivate, and manage a team of Post OAice clerks, focusing on their professional development and performance improvement.
- Ensure the branch operates safely, legally, and eAectively, adhering to all legal and regulatory requirements.
- Manage cash and stock control systems using the Horizon system and EPOS, as well as workforce planning tools, ensuring accurate balances, cash, and sales reporting.
- Lead the team to achieve commercial growth targets by engaging them and communicating performance goals effectively.
- Set an example of exceptional customer service and support colleagues to deliver outstanding service standards.
- Build enthusiasm within the team and strengthen relationships with the local community through active engagement and involvement.
- Develop strong working relationships with colleagues in the food store to ensure a seamless customer experience and operational synergy.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience working in a Post OAice, including managing legal compliance and regulatory requirements.
- Proven track record of managing or supervising a team.
- Experience in a fast-paced customer service environment, ideally within retail.
- Strong working knowledge of the Horizon system, particularly in cash and stock
control, as well as workforce planning.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills, with an ability to prioritise
and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
- A genuine passion for engaging with and supporting the local community.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £25,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
