Care Home Administrator - The Poplars Nursing Home
Job Summary
The Poplars Nursing Home are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursing Home Administrator to oversee the daily operations of our Nursing Home. We are dedicated to creating a warm, welcoming environment where our residents can thrive. This role requires strong leadership, organisational skills, and a commitment to maintaining compliance with health regulations and standards.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the care home, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Manage and support care home staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling.
- Ensure residents receive exceptional care and address any concerns promptly.
- Maintain accurate records through data entry and clerical tasks, ensuring all documentation is up to date including staff files and residents contracts.
- Coordinate with healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of high-quality care services.
- Handle administrative tasks, including managing schedules, office supplies, and correspondence.
- Exhibit excellent phone etiquette when interacting with residents, families, and staff.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in healthcare administration or a related field.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Proficient in computerised systems for administrative tasks, including data entry and record keeping.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a professional phone manner.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of healthcare professionals.
- A relevant degree or qualification in healthcare administration.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and standards.
- Compassionate and dedicated to improving the lives of residents.
Job Types: Part time- Permanent
Pay: £12.21-£13.50 per hour
Expected hours: 16 hours per week
