OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE:

Working in the busy finance department reporting to the Group Head of Payroll, the primary purpose of the role is to lead a team. Adept at using payroll software and handling payroll queries with accuracy and efficiency. Committed to delivering accurate and timely payroll services in a fast-paced environment. Oversee payroll administration for over 3000 employees over multiple companies, ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Managing, Lead, Develop and Motivate a Team of 5.
  • Managing multi company payrolls.
  • Dealing with queries from basic to complex raised by internal and external stakeholders of the business, escalating these through the correct channels where necessary.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with other teams.
  • Work closely with the Senior Team to create best in service efficiencies and automation.
  • Suggest improvement and increase efficiency of current payroll processes.
  • Organising records and audit trails for future reference.
  • Administer all HMRC Statutory requirements.
  • Manage third party relationships with group companies.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS :

  • Knowledge and understanding of Microsoft office, particularly Excel.
  • Understanding of all Payroll Legislation and Compliance.
  • Self-motivation to complete tasks to set deadlines.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to multitask effectively.
  • Effective communications with a range of people, both internally and externally.
  • Works well under pressure.
  • Have ran multi company payrolls.
  • Payroll Qualification CIPP is essential

DESIRED SKILLS :

  • Knowledge and understanding of Sage Payroll.
  • Experience with CRM Systems.
  • Experience with implementing systems.
