Job description
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Landscape Estimator & Quantity Surveyor to join our team. The role involves preparing accurate cost estimates and budgets for landscaping projects, analysing project specifications, and ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising quality. You will play a key role in managing project finances, forecasting costs, and contributing to the successful delivery of landscaping projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Estimating:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and bids for landscaping projects based on designs, client requirements, and market trends.
- Analyse project drawings and specifications to determine material, labor, and equipment costs.
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing.
- Quantity Surveying:
- Measure and quantify materials and resources required for projects using industry-standard techniques.
- Monitor project costs and expenditures, ensuring alignment with the budget.
- Perform cost analysis and value engineering to optimize resources and reduce waste.
- Project Collaboration:
- Work closely with clients, architects, designers, and project managers to develop feasible project plans and timelines.
- Maintain communication with stakeholders to provide regular updates on cost estimates and budgets.
- Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations, environmental standards, and legal requirements.
- Keep up-to-date with industry standards and pricing trends.
- Reporting & Documentation:
- Prepare and maintain detailed project reports, records, and documentation.
- Provide financial forecasts and cash flow predictions.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Landscape Architecture, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Landscape Estimator or Quantity Surveyor, preferably in landscaping or construction.
- Strong knowledge of cost estimation methodologies, material pricing, and industry best practices.
- Proficiency in using estimation software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD)
- Excellent analytical, numerical, and organisational skills.
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
- Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with sustainable landscaping practices and environmental considerations.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £40,000.00-£60,000.00 per year
